Maternal Support
A client approached us with a clear objective: to develop a comprehensive 6-acre master plan in Lebanon, Missouri, for an organization dedicated to maternal support. The challenge was to transform a plot with single-street access into a secure, welcoming, and multi-functional campus designed for long-term growth and operational excellence.

The main challenge was to capture the essence of the 19th century, presenting American tradition in a coherent and evocative setting.
The entire design had to respect and reflect the rich history of the place, while incorporating innovative elements that pushed the concept beyond the conventional.
The Strategy: From Master Plan to Focal Point
The project began with a macro-scale conceptualization of the entire site. We mapped out all development stages to ensure spatial efficiency and client privacy across the 6-acre plot. While the project is designed to evolve, we shifted our primary focus to Phase 2, the architectural and operational heart of the campus.

To ensure a cohesive environment, the master plan harmonizes the surrounding phases:
Phase 1 (Infrastructure): Establishing gated access and centralized parking to manage traffic and ensure discretion.
Phases 3 & 4 (Residential Expansion): A dedicated Maternity Home with 10 private studio units and industrial-grade communal spaces, followed by "Project Thrive"—a future expansion of duplex-style transitional apartments to foster long-term independence.
